Okay, I just left another home where I was evaluating a child for possible speech and language delay and the family member brought out the program for teaching her to read. The “books” are a series of flap books where the word and picture are given. The little boy seemed to enjoy the pictures but when I brought out a more age apporpriate flap book, Peek a Boo by DK he was much for engaged.
Let’s get off the fast track of trying to teach our babies to read, and fill them with wonderful, enriching language.
